So much has happened since I last posted! We've been busy as you might have suspected, but with lots of fun things along with obligations. We took a trip to Louisville to meet baby Nicholas and see him be blessed. It was a quick trip but well worth it. Lots of fun. Jill went home with Gus and Mumsy along with two of her cousins to enjoy a week of "cousins camp."
While Jill was having the time of her life there we enjoyed some of the perks of only having a baby. I took naps when Cooper took naps! We painted Jill's furniture and rearranged her room. We took Cooper along on a little date to see X-men. We were so glad to have Jill back though we missed her antics.
The day after Jill got back my Mom came for a visit. It was so fun to have her here and the kids had a blast. Cooper chose that to be the week he started to walk and he was ALL over the place.
He has turned into a VERY BUSY BOY. Emphasis on the boy. This kid is constantly beating things and doesn't really understand "gentle." He loves balls and has already learned to bounce Tucker's basketball and pick it up and walk around with it. That is quite a sight since the basketball is about the size of Cooper's torso. He waves and says "buh buh" when people say bye bye to him. He also claps to music and has started pointing. I will put some video of his walking and the basketball thing up on my other blog. I still can't figure it out on here.
Jill is missing both her grandmas but doing alright otherwise. I recently became our 2nd counselor in the primary which should be fun but also pose some challenges for us. Starting this weekend I will have to work every other weekend. That will be tough for Tucker on the Sundays I am not there. Cooper is exhausting at church and Tucker has a lot he has to get done during the church block. Too bad nursery does not start at 12 months!
Tucker has started actual dental care in the clinic. He has already got to do lots of neat things and is excited but busy learning all these new skills.
We are enjoying the beautiful summer months here. We have started parent child swim classes where our whole family attends. Jill really gets into it while Cooper stiffens into a statue the whole time.
Jill has developed a bit of self consciousness lately about our family. She made up a story the other day where someone came into our house and saw Tucker's name and then said "That's a strange name." Then we went grocery shopping and when I picked her up from the play place she told me she had told the "teacher" about her little brother but not his name. I asked why she did not tell the teacher Cooper's name. She just replied "Because I thought she would laugh."
We wish we could attend reunions this year. One day we hope to be able to attend : ).
