9 months and a new do

First off, Coop had his 9 month appointment a few weeks ago. Tuck said the Dr. described Coop as "long and lean." He is still 95th percentile in height at 30.5 inches and 50th in weight at 19 lbs. 11.5 oz. I swear he is heavier. The kid is a tank and eats anything he can find. He gets into absolutely everything and will not hold still. Kind of a tornado.
Last night while I was at work Tuck decided to buzz off Coop's hair. I was a little sad when I discovered his baby hair and mohawk were gone. He is still cute though.

Fitzherbert

Tuck's class has a break right now between semesters and just about everyone we know is off doing some adventure. We decided to make our own adventure and do something spontanous last weekend. We were having our normal Saturday am... and then just decided to go check out Pittsburgh to mix it up around here. Its actually really close, only like 2 hours. So that was fun. We weren't really sure what to do there, but we ended up riding this incline up the side of a giant hill (its pretty hilly there) and getting a pretty good view of the city. It is a really pretty city. It has rivers through it and tons of bridges. In fact we learned it has more bridges than anywhere in the world except Venice. Pretty cool.

After dinner we drove around for a while to check the city out. In our travels we discovered a "pita pit." We used to eat there in Provo all the time and have never seen another one. Needless to say we were pretty excited to get some pita pit for dinner.

The workers there were kind enough to point us in the direction of Pittsburgh's giant Big Mac sandwich. So.. we went to enjoy that and some ice cream cones. Jill played in the playground, but was having a hard time getting the kids there to play with her. She asked Tucker "Why can't they see me?" Isn't that the saddest thing you've ever heard?

Jill seemed pretty fascinated by the whole thing. She refers to Pittsburgh as Fitzherbert.

On the way home we stopped in a small town in Ohio that is home to the FooFighters/Nirvana musician. They have a small back alley for him. It is real small but decorated with lots of art depicting him and nirvana stuff. Kind of fun to see. Anyhow that made our weekend a little more fun.

1st Dance Recital

Jill had her dance recital a few weeks ago. It was SO fun. She did two different dances. There were quite a few people there as her teacher does like 4 different classes. The theme was moving through the decades. Jill's class did one "can can" that was kind of 20ish. Then she did one to "rock around the clock" in a poodle

skirt. I couldn't believe how well she did. I had prepared myself for her to just stand there in stagefright but she performed. She has been telling Tucker lately how fun it was to dance there and have "all those people clap". Unfortunately we had some camera issues during it and so we didn't get great footage. I had to upload the video to our old blog.. it wasn't working on here. Anyhow, check it out!

Easter 2011

Jill dyed Easter eggs with Mumsy when she was here. They had a good time.

Showing off the results!
