Day at the Zoo

This is from over a month ago but it was fun so I didn't want to go without blogging it.

Sheep Barn fun

The dental school group here had a recent event at the "sheep barn." They had a pinata there for the kids. You can see her silhouette here in line. I think she was a little nervous. I have video of her actually hitting the pinata but can't figure out how to put it on here.

Playground World

One of the things on my going back to work "bucketlist" was to take the kids to Playground World. We went with a friend and had a good time. It is a playground showroom that has free play for an hour. Pretty cool. Jill's favorite was the play houses. Cooper was enthralled with all the kids running around.

Who's the boss?

After Jill broke a few pairs of our sunglasses we decided maybe she needed her own pair to play with in the car. Lately she has really been into playing "storytime." She, of course, is the librarian. She sets the books up like above. Then she does 5,4,3,2,1 shh to begin. She tells stories and then pretends to turn on music and we dance around. I think she would make a good librarian.

7 months

Pam, as she always so kindly does, took lots of fun pictures at our latest family gathering in March. Here are some of my favorite ones of Cooper. Its so hard to choose when its your baby!

First hair cut!

Jill was very excited, but also a little nervous, about getting her first hair cut. She kept changing between wanting hair "like Aunt Adri" or like "Tangled"... we decided to minimize shock and just trim it up.

Here she is with our friend Julie who did the honors.

In other news I accepted a job and will start in a few weeks. I am excited but a little nervous. I have to train full time, M-F all day, for 8-12 weeks. Those are going to be some pretty tough weeks, but afterwards it will only be 16 hours a week. It looks like it will be a great thing for our family so we are feeling pretty blessed. I realized last night that I will actually work full time longer now than I did when Jill was a baby. That made me feel really sad because I feel like I missed a lot of Jill's early months. At least Cooper is older now than Jill was. Just got to get through these few months.
